PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America®) recently announced the winners of its annual, system-wide Art is Ageless® competition. The works of more than 85 senior artists from Kansas and Missouri will be featured in the 2024 Art is Ageless calendar and greeting cards.

Art is Ageless is open exclusively to people aged 65 and older. Works must have been completed in the past five years. To be eligible for PMMA’s masterpiece level competition, artists entered a juried competition at one of 15 PMMA® communities in Kansas and Missouri.

More than 190 pieces were judged at the masterpiece level for inclusion in the calendar and Art is Ageless greeting cards. Artists not interested in competition were invited to enter the Art is Ageless exhibit only.

The Best of Show– Professional winner is John King with his painting “Rodeo Cowboy.”  King entered the competition at Emporia Presbyterian Manor in Emporia, Kan.

The Best of Show – Amateur winner is Linda Kobs with her painting “Just Hanging Out.”  Kobs entered the competition at Manor of the Plains in Dodge City, Kan.

Art is Ageless is a copyrighted program that started in 1980. It is an extension of PMMA’s wellness programs, which focus on mental, physical, social and spiritual health.
