My dad has been at the Wichita Presbyterian Manor for 4 years and it has been a great place for him. The staff is professional and the building is always clean and inviting! He gets very good care from the staff in Assisted Living and has made some great friends! They have a lot of outside activities they can do as well- He especially enjoys the Bingo weekly. I also appreciate the Christian values that are incorporated throughout the facility.

It has been so much better than I ever thought! I have more time to do my hobby of quilting and sewing. I never realized the time it took planning meals, shopping, cooking, clean up etc. people are so friendly and so many activities and bus trip we enjoy.

I have lived in Independent Living two years now. I have met nearly everyone and it has been an enjoyable experience. They schedule many activities during the month, which are fun. I also make daily use (Well, weekdays anyway!) of the pool and exercise classes. Crystal is a marvel and very patient.

I have wanted to be a part of the WPM Team for a long time, and I am now here! My parents have been part of the Art for the Ages and other programs for many years, and it has been so wonderful for them. I have enjoyed getting to participate in these activities also, and see how they have Flourished! This is a great place to be and to work!

The staff are very exceptional and they try to help in anyway they can. Everyone goes above and beyond for me. The food is excellent, which means a lot to me. I've been able to visit friends that live on campus and staff have been willing to get me to them. It's clean and updated.

When you start wondering if it’s time to downsize, or thinking about having fewer household chores, it may be time to consider an independent living community. When you want peace of mind for the future, while you’re still active enough to enjoy the lifestyle benefits, you should consider moving into an independent living community.

When seniors reach a point where they need a little extra help with daily tasks, moving into an assisted living community may be a good consideration. Often there are concerns about costs, the hassle of moving, or perhaps they associate assisted living with nursing homes. Assisted living is far from a nursing home in our communities. Our seniors maintain active social lives, and they set their own daily schedules. They live in private apartments but enjoy having a maintenance-free lifestyle and receive the extra help that comes with assisted living. Assisted Living is meant to support you so you can live the way you want to live.

Our Independent Living residences in The Westerly have a patio or balcony.

We allow pets in independent living. Dogs, cats, birds and fish are allowed upon approval. A $500 non-refundable pet fee applies. Pets are not allowed in Assisted Living, but they may visit any time.

No, we do not accept Medicaid in Assisted Living, but we are  licensed to accept Medicaid-approved residents in long-term care. Most long-term care Medicaid beds are filled internally with our own residents who are moving through our continuum of care.

Yes. Couples may live together in The Cypress Memory Care. Second-person fees apply.

Assisted living residents are more independent and may be able to perform more activities and can get around as they like. They may need help with certain tasks, such as housework or bathing, but they can perform many tasks on their own. Long-term care is a solution for seniors living with chronic health conditions. They often need much more help from a dedicated caregiver, with tasks such as getting in and out of chairs, moving around, and more.
